Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Crowley County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message and the contact details needed to respond. The message is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation. Do not send court filings, protected identifiers, or confidential case papers through a general contact message.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems may receive basic technical and usage information whenever a page loads. That information can include:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We may use them with analytics services to understand aggregate traffic, find pages that need work, and measure how visitors move through the website. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Information collected through normal website use may support these purposes:
- Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
- Routing a search request to the selected outside service
- Understanding which Crowley County resources visitors use
- Finding abuse, errors, and technical failures
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Crowley County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of official dockets or personal case records. It provides general directions to the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search, the Clerk of Court at Crowley Combined Court, and other official sources. The public search is an upcoming-hearing calendar, while the clerk maintains the official District Court and County Court records. Nothing collected about website visitors is assembled as a consumer report or third-party case profile, and the website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power search boxes that may appear on the website. A query submitted through one of those tools is governed by that provider's privacy policy. We do not set the provider's retention, processing, pricing, or disclosure practices. Review the applicable policy before entering personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Crowley Combined Court resources, Colorado Judicial Branch portals, legal information, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Read those terms before submitting sensitive data.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. Any such tracking occurs through their systems and policies, not as a Crowley County court-record function.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- A search provider that processes a query you choose to submit
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure advertisements
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information within our control. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We work to reduce risk but cannot promise that unauthorized access or a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied personal data, we will take reasonable steps to remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Privacy and consumer-protection rights depend on where a visitor lives and the law that applies. Court-record access is a separate subject: Colorado Judicial Branch records are governed by Chief Justice Directive 05-01, related court rules, and the fee framework in Chief Justice Directive 06-01. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-200.1 et seq., supplies a broader public-record context but does not turn judicial case files into ordinary county-agency records. For personal data we hold, you may at least:
- Ask what personal information we retain about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete information where applicable
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy as practices, technology, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted here, and its effective date will be updated so visitors can tell when the current terms began.
Effective date: August 15, 2026
